It's strange because the Imgur interface is a little different during the original upload, then if I right click/view image on the posted broken jpg icon it takes me to the old Imgur interface where I used to do the uploading and provides the proper code there

You're eating crazy cheese like you would think I'm from Paris
You know I get fly, you think I get high
You know that I'm gone and I'm-a tell you all why
So tell me who are you dissing, maybe I'm missing
The reason that you're smilin' or wildin', so listen
In my head, I just want to take 'em down
Imagination set loose and I'm gonna shake 'em down

I saw a news piece where they took surviving veterans back to France this week. 14000 Canadians hit Juno beach.

There is some old news footage that featured a nervous soldier on a transport looking back before disembarking. Another soldier put his hand on the guy's back to reassure him. We made a commemorative coin with the mystery soldier on it.

Recently they found out who the guy was (Pte. George Herman Baker) through some impressive detective work.

Do you find it hard wanting to go back to work after 14 days off, even though you had worked 14 straight before the time off?

Going back to work is hard sometimes. Just depends on what's going on. Kids are grown, and out of house. 2 weeks at a time isn't bad. I really enjoy the 2 weeks off. The longest I've been away from home was a few years ago, working for a different company. I started in Peru Jan 3rd, then to India, Australia, then Malaysia. I got home in the middle of April.
That was rough, but sure made for some nice paychecks. I was making $600/ day back then.
To me, I loathe 9-5 jobs, dealing with traffic back and forth, only being able to go places on weekends or on vacation, etc.

Forgot to mention... tried Shake Shack so I can weigh in on the Shake Shack vs In-n-Out Debate

I'm diving deep, indulge me:

In-N-Out is so cheap. Their burgers are picture perfect, the buns are soft on the outside and toasted with butter inside, and the lettuce and tomato is crisp and fresh. Their special sauce is the bomb, reminds me of a local favorite burger chain in BC 'White Spot.' Not to mention the friendly service and infinite options to make custom burgers (you can have fresh and caramelized onions on your burger). They hand cut their fries in house and douse them in their secret sauce, which again is great.

Shake Shack's natural Angus burger patty is extremely flavorful, thicker, fattier and more delicious, as is their bacon. They have these beautiful yellow potato buns too which are soft and sweet. That said, it's twice the price or more. They serve their burgers with crinkle cut fries. Perhaps more flavorful on their own, but they can't hold a candle to Animal Style at In-n-Out

Honestly, the Shack Shack burger offers better meat, but when you consider the price, vastly superior service/happier employees, garnishes and sauce, In-n-Out has to edge out Shake Shack. If you could throw a Shake Shack patty on an In-N-Out burger, you may have the perfect fast food.

Thoughts?

First, white is right, brother, don't be ashamed of your whiteness.
Second, the pure white light is fair superior. Orange light bad.
Third, the answer is hue adjusting LED lights that are network enabled. I personally prefer the dimmable, but you may prefer the hue adjustment. Change it, turn it on/off, through your phone or smart device.

I fucked up and bought a case of 'daylight' LED A19 bulbs instead of soft white.... holy crap what an unfortunate mistake. It's so white and kind of jarring especially in my little den. Not cozy at all, not to mention it looks stupid because the hallway right outside the den is all very orangy soft white halogen lights. Won't do that again.

Yeah, I much prefer the daylight versus that unnatural glow of the other ones.. I have yet to try the smart bulbs yet, but I've been thinking about it.

The only place I have the daylight bulbs is out on my deck. Inside I prefer the soft white.

THANK YOU. I haven't even made it through season 2 all the way yet. Everyone talks about how, I dunno, creepy isn't the right word, but I'm drawing a blank right now. I've found the series 'meh' at best and other than one episode (which I can't even recall now), I've been bored watching it for the most part.

Season 2 had some good stuff. Season 3 is fairly tame.

Today the neighbor has some tree cutting service in the back lane doing major work to some of the huge trees in his yard.

They have the alley blocked off both ways which forces the poor little darling parents to park on the street and walk an additional 100 yards to the school.

Just like when the power company was changing out the telephone poles, some of them drive right up the signs and start arguing with the workers

Call the police when they park there. If they're not getting the hint, then sick the man on them.

My Dad spent years with that battle. He called Parking Enforcement so many times they knew him by first name and actually game him copies of a no parking sign that we were supposed to affix to the telephone poles ourselves.

After that little insane progression happened, my Dad kind of eased off being so militant. He put hooks on either side of our garage pad and used to string a rope across it so people wouldn't park on it or use it to turn around in the alley.

I was always at work so I never realized the battle was a real thing. I've had to go to the school and ask the principal to announce there's vehicles blocking a garage and I was late to work because of it.

In the times I've talked to some of the Moms, I've been sworn at and threatened, after I was polite and non aggressive about asking them not to park there.

I think the fine is up to 172 dollars this year and Parking Enforcement, when they show up, never will come at the right times. Sometimes I feel like I've inherited the war from my Dad and I laugh a little, but it's in danger of becoming an obsession for me and I don't want you guys to read a story about me flipping out in the news section

One day I had minor problems backing out of my garage because there were some vehicles parked on the other side of the alley. I could have backed out and made the reverse turn if I was careful.

Instead...I got of my car and slammed my car door loudly, took out my phone and ran around like I was taking pictures of the back of each vehicle. Some Moms were in the park with their kids so I said in a very loud voice - Hello can I have your attention! It's illegal to park in this alley for any reason and I can't get out of my garage! Please move your vehicles or they will be towed!!

They did and I became That Guy...

I knew all the coeds had no fear, and they wouldn't close their windows in their apartments in the building we all lived in. A few of them told me point blank that they loved walking around their apartments naked. God, I miss college.

Well, I am outside looking up at the skies more often than not when I know a meteor shower's coming... so I guess it's a cool gift. If nothing else, if I ever get the desire to see the 10 things that consumer telescopes are capable of rendering, I'll have it covered. Or if I ever move to a place where there's a bunch of college girls that leave their windows open and love to walk around naked...

It's been that hot already down in southeastern Colorado. It's basically desert-y down there. It's supposed to be between 96° and 100° depending on which area you're in down there. It's sparsely populated. I don't know why anyone lives in that part of the state really.

About a month in using Opera for my browser and I can safely say I'll never go back to that awful thing that Firefox has morphed into. Between the extensions native available to Opera and the ones I can use at the Chrome store, I found either equal or better replacements than the ones I was using on FF (and replacements for ones that Mozilla stopped compatibility with :x ) and it runs so much faster and smoother. There are some drawbacks (Opera is slightly less customizable, but as I get used to where everything is, it's less of an annoyance), but as a whole, Opera has come a long way and I'm glad I switched.

Geography in Grade 12 was probably the best course I took in HS. If memory serves that's Convectional rain. We never see it here, we just get orographic rain where the clouds pile up on the mountains we have just to the north of the city and dumps rain on us for weeks at a time  Really neat to see that gif.

Fucking Honeywell junk...we have a WiFi enabled programmable thermostat that we got only 3 or 4 years ago. The other day it dropped the WiFi signal and we couldn't connect to it. So yesterday I decided to try and see what was wrong with it (I figured it was our network at home, we've been having issues with the WiFi). So I tried to get it to connect. Nope. Cleared out the old network info from it to try and get it to connect. Nope. Did a factory reset to try and get it to connect. Nope. It appears that the WiFi capabilities just died, it won't broadcast or receive any wireless signals.

Fucking POS...it's of course out of warranty, but it's not that old that it should have crapped out in just a few years. And at the time, it wasn't a cheap thermostat either.

Oddly enough, I have an old pair of binoculars (used to belong to my Dad) that technically, according to websites, should work well enough to spot some celestial objects in the night sky. However, I can't use them or my new telescope, because the cloud cover for the past week has been nearly 100% every day, and the forecasts for the next week doesn't look like it's going to get any better. So I can't test the theory out for myself at this current point in time.

One woman is having outright battles with him online claiming it's a hoax. Her husband or ex-husband was found dead and they believe he was looking for it at the time.

Four people have died that they've associated with specifically looking for it, and the authorities are saying - We can't help what people want to do in their free time. We won't stop Mr Fenn from publishing clues or saying the treasure is real.

Yeah but if you read about his history, he was never cruel. Decorated with war time medals and lived a pretty clean life after.

Apparently his art dealership made 6 million a year so he would have the means to do it.

And he's a fairly well spoken and well written author.

I guess we'll probably get some sort of blurb after he dies saying whether it was real or not. He seems like the type to put that into his will.
