Yea, usually for me too. I just don't want to end up at the docs office again. I'm sick of being sick.

We just had a light frost the other morning I don't know if it was enough to stop the ragweed (my #1) but in recent years I seem to be becoming way more sensitive to stuff that never bothered me before, dust at work and even started getting skin rashes on my chest and back.

Teh One Who Knocks

Yeah, we haven't had a good hard frost yet, that's what I am waiting for...that way it will kill off everything until next season.

And damn dude, that sucks, I haven't gotten that bad yet, but I do find that my allergies seem to get worse every year.

Pony
11-01-2011, 12:06 PM
Yea, I know I'm partially to blame as well. I'm sure if I quit smoking and was more diligent in wearing a filter mask at work and while doing yardwork it would help considerably.....

A friend of my Mom wrote me a nice letter years ago.She was diagnosed with T.N. and had all of her upper teeth removed, still had pain.(it's typical) She eventually had a doctor cauterize a needle and hit the nerve from the outside of her face, through the cheek. She lucked out and he stopped it.They won't do that procedure anymore because it's a guess and a little barbaric.

I've always remembered her advice - Don't ever give up.Because she spent years going to various dentists and doctors trying to get some relief. And I have followed in her footsteps.Tough part is that the daily pain will never kill you, it's what the pain does to your psych that's difficult to manage.I can get a zillion different types of pills if I just complain a certain way...I still won't take them daily  Once I do, it's like I've given up.

It's called a splint and if it's fitted correctly, you'll lose about 75% of those symptoms Minz.

Coffee doesn't help and neither does smoking :|

Give the night guard or splint (difference is about 500 dollars over here ) a go for one month.Keep going back to get it adjusted as your muscles are changing as you wear it.

Ive been on cocodamol and ibrufen at two hour intervals for over a week, god help my poor liver, it does little of nothing most of the time, but the really strange thing is it goes away for an hour or so then its back.

Cold turkey. Sheer force of will. I got pissed off over the fact that I was addicted and it was controlling me and I decided to quit. I locked myself in my bedroom for about 2 weeks after throwing my cigarettes out, and just suffered through the withdrawal. That was back in August 2006.

Suprisingly, the physical need for nicotine was relatively easier to beat compared to the psychological dependancy. It only took several weeks to get over it. The worst was the first two weeks.

Tough part is that the daily pain will never kill you, it's what the pain does to your psych that's difficult to manage.

Interesting... that sounds oddly similar to the mentality prospective SEALs talk about in BUD/S training. I'm reading a few books on them right now, and for the ones who quit it's not usually the pain that day or that moment. It's looking ahead and saying "can I do this?" Those who DOR usually admit they just couldn't picture going through the rest of the week, or the next week. The good ones seem to be able to just take it one day, one order, one evolution at a time.

Amen to that... and I find it gives you more energy too. When I have a lazy few days or week, I want to stay lazy. But when I get up and run or hit the gym after work it makes me feel a lot better. So good for your mental health too.

It's not even about living long, the short-term effects are far more important to me.

Just got home from a killer day at work... I'm sitting in my boxers drinking homemade red wine and a frozen dinner. All class baby.

Couple of weekends ago I balanced a warm pizza box on my nude dick while I downloaded porn, slammed back some slices and greased up the keyboard.I was the poster boy for class

I ordered a new PC for my dad on Tuesday. The standard standard shipping option was UPS 3 Day, so that's what I picked that way it would be here before the weekend. I tracked it last night and the package was already in Denver, so I thought awesome, I'll get it a day early.

I just tracked it again and it's not out for delivery, it's still sitting at the UPS hub. :|

God forbid they deliver something early when it wasn't paid for to be delivered in 2 days

Yup, that's exactly what I thought. I coulda saved about $100 going with a lesser chip, but I really didn't wanna go lower than an i3

8?

Acer monitors are notorious for backlight bleed and glaring crap colors.

FYI - the Dell monitor I speak of arrived at my house and has not moved since day one...........
