I stopped at Walmart on the way home from work on Friday and picked up some of this stuff, to see if it would help my truck. I think I may have gotten some bad gas somewhere. So Amazon uses customers who pay them $120 a year to do product development work. All because they market it as a "community of experts"? And give fake reward points and an occasional incentive?

Yeah, but you're relatively young. You can ride out the troughs and crests. Older people getting closer to retirement will get screwed worse than you. Keep an emergency fund of cash out of the market for when things go downhill. Keep in mind that the market will rise and fall. And pounce on the market as it recovers.

This has been going on since 2011. It's part of the Syrian Civil War. I think Russia and Turkey have a diplomatic truce of sorts, but I could be wrong about that. I think Russia knows that if they get directly involved, they'd be facing down NATO. It's a potential shit show for both sides for sure, so as long as no big dogs get involved, maybe Turkey and Syria can handle it on their own.

It has definitely been going on since 2011 as you say, and Russia and Turkey have fought a proxy war mostly (Putin claims to have no interest in direct involvement), but this week Turkey really went hot with a new major offensive against the Syrian government in retaliation for some soldiers that were killed. It's been fascinating to follow this week especially with Turkey's use of drone swarms... but it's obviously horrific for civilians (though again that part is nothing new).

Also, heard the SXSW Music Festival, which is a huge thing, was canceled as well. Both Boston and Dublin have canceled their St Patrick's Day parades too.

I think some of the tracking systems don't always update correctly. When I order stuff from Chewy online, I will get the e-mail that the item has shipped and I will expect it in (usually) 2 days. Next day I will track the package and I get the same "shipping info sent to FedEx" and it shows that it still hasn't actually shipped. Then on the day it is supposed to be delivered, I track the package and it shows it's travel info.

Won't be good. I read that 75% of NHL revenue comes from tickets and affiliated gameday sales of merchandise and concessions. I'm guessing other leagues perhaps have bigger TV deals and more revenue streams, but I'm just guessing there.

Wonder if any franchises or leagues have event cancellation insurance? It is available for large events (I've seen a few policies at work for one-off events like concerts, but no clue if sports leagues self-insure or not).

Still have a hotel booked in Palm Springs for 4 nights the 18-21 but I'm thinking we pull the plug on that too. I'm not worried about getting sick much, I just don't want to get quarantined far from home, or get there and suddenly have all the restaurants close or something :( Sucks because my wife can't re-book vacation with her work... and she needs it.

That really sucks, but it's better to err on the side of caution at this point. Can you do some kind of mini-vacation close to home? Or just a "staycation" kinda thing.
