Put together a grocery order with Instacart this morning. Its kinda strange actually. I dont consider myself one of the best in my company (because I'm well aware of my shortcomings) but, I've made it through every slowdown. Once before I was the only one standing, once a different time I was one of 2. I'm still really nervous though. My division (west Texas) isn't showing any signs of improvement.
At the beginning of the year, my company had about 80 rigs running of the total in the US. Now, we have 15. 3 of which are in WTX. Wtx had 31.

And the older HBO app is supposed to be eliminated next month some time. Roku does say they are in negotiations with HBO to get the HBO Max app on their platform and they say a deal is basically imminent. They just don't know an exact time yet.

So I just dumped Verizon after 23 years because their service no longer worked in my areas. (long story for another rant) So I just switched to ATT and with my phone plan is free HBO max. But I can pretty much only use it on my phone because of all the shortcomings of the app. I'm the same as you, all LG and Roku. I do have a laptop jacked into the tv so I might try that. Not clear if my free promo even qualifies for streaming HD either.

I have a HBO go/or NOW account that I turn on and off as shows I like come out, it's currently "off", I really hope they get Max sorted before they eliminate the other two apps.

Historians claim the Confederacy is effectively over on May 5th 1865. CSA President Jefferson Davis is captured and arrested on May 10th 1865. The Union Army march into Texas on June 19 1865, the Texas Confederate Armies surrender and the Union Army tell the slaves in Texas that they are free (and this is where Juneteenth comes from). The 13th Amendment is ratified on December 6th 1865, and slavery is abolished nationwide.

So technically, Juneteenth just marks a date in Texas history that says Texas was being dicks and the Union Army fixed it. The actual end of slavery in the United States is either January 1 1863, if you believe Lincoln had the right to end slavery by executive order; or it's on January 31 1865 when Congress passes the 13th Amendment to the the US Constitution; or when the states ratify the 13th Amendment on December 6 1865. It's 'off' on my phone too, only because allegedly it needs a companion app from your local government health department to be active. The things I do not like about it are (A) I never asked for this and never gave the OK for it to download and install on my phone and (B) there is no way to uninstall it.

So my question is, if it's voluntary and you need to "opt in" for it to work, then why was it automatically downloaded onto my phone without my permission? And are we supposed to take both Google's and Apple's (it's on iPhones as well) word that the app isn't doing anything unless you explicitly turn it on? I mean, I'm not much for conspiracy theories, but anything like this should really need your permission to be on your phone, whether it needs some other app to work or not (allegedly).

Romney really disappoints me, because I've backed him in the past. But he's a politician first and he plays the game well. They all do. You know who doesn't play the political game well? Trump. I'm thinking my desktop must be old.... went to buy some RAM today and was told DDR3 is not made anymore.... Still want another 8GB stick as I have 3 x 8 & 1 x 4... get rid of the 4 and build to the max of 32 Gb.

However it does perform pretty well for what I use it for.

I'd also like some more SSD storage but it's expensive.....

Tracked it and it said it arrived at the Denver UPS hub on Monday and there was not delivery date information available. Got hold of the shipper for them to follow up on it. I guess because of the Wu Flu, UPS has no live agents you can talk to, so all they could find was the same thing we saw, that it was here in Denver and it had been there for 4 days with no other info available. So, my boss went down to the UPS hub and asked where the hell our package one. They said it wasn't in Denver, it was still in North Carolina. He showed them the tracking info showing it was in Denver. They said it was still in North Carolina and there is nothing they can do. So, obviously UPS lost the package somewhere.

Had to get hold of the shipper and re-order the material, and now we've lost at least a week because of the whole mess.

I bought myself a birthday present. A Blu-Ray set of the Justified series. Not a big deal, except this isn't the first time. This is the 5th frickin' time this year alone that they've "lost" my order. The package was shipped 2-day air from Maryland. It was scanned as arrived in Brunswick Thursday morning. There was a Destination scan a few hours after the Arrival Scan. Now the UPS site says it's In Transit. So it's either in Brunswick laying around where everybody's ignoring it or somebody working there stole it. I know where the distribution center is, but I can't get a phone number to tell them to look for it. I used to know a guy that worked up there about a decade ago, but he's flown the coop (don't blame him really). There's no number I can call, all numbers given are the 888 number. I don't want to go up there, because if I do, I'll unload on them and probably get arrested. But I have to scream at someone. I've had enough of this bullshit. No one company can fuck shit up like this this often. Again, it's a small thing, but it's the principle of the matter.

After much research I decided that RESTOR lenses were what I wanted. Out of pocket sucked but I deemed it worth it.

You're describing my right eye. I am getting the distance lenses so I'll need computer glasses. I'm fine with that. They first gave me the option of only getting one eye done with a less than perfect vision lens so they could correct it for the other eye. That make zero sense to me, so... doing them both. They didn't even recommend the multifocals... I must have looked poor. :lol:
