Fucking HAM money... went to look at condos today... 562sq/ft going for $448k. Penthouse for up to $1.8 million. Hasn't even broken ground yet and they sold 67 unites in two days.

The saddest part is, the money is all coming from Hong Kong and China. They'll never even live here, streets are getting quiet in some parts of town because at most their kids live there, but often it's just an investment because they have too much g.d. money. Far more than they know what to do with, and this city has a good rep over there.

Really hard to take. Eventually the locals are going to be marginalized to the outskirts of this city, with Vancouver as a 'resort' city. :( I wana live here, but I think I have to move in a couple years.

Nah, for many years after I got out of the service, I only had two pistols (both bought while in service, a 10mm and a .454 casul) I sold them years ago, and never had any for years. Got to missing going to the range, but still didn't buy any. Then my Father in law died and left me the 44-40, I got the 40 from a friend cheap 'cause he bought a new gun, and thinking of getting a shotgun, just 'cause they are fun to shoot.

Some countries and cultures don't have as "open relationship" with guns as y'all do though... Competetive shooting and hunting are two things guns are for in my opinion. Even tho I don't hunt myself, but my dad and brother do hunt and shoot in competitions. So I've been brought up seeing and hearing guns, but it never intrigued me to own one or shoot one "for fun". My dad nor my brother has ever gone to shoot "for fun" nor taken me to do so. Not even had me shoot "cuz I need to learn how to shoot a gun". Only times the guns are out is when they go shoot in a comp. or go to hunt. I like it like that. Other times they are firmly locked away.

Using your father and brother...at some point they had to have decided, "hey shooting these things is kinda fun..Wonder if I can out shoot someone else" I mean, If they didn't enjoy it, they wouldn't still be doing it, would they?
