I think you might be able to set it up on a secondary drive, if you just add another. Thats what I was going to try. I'm not sure if you can though, I dont want to mess up my current installation

I use an SSD for my OS and I have a 2 TB HDD for all my files and storage. I don't think you can dual boot from two different drives though, can you? :confused:

No. Creating a new partition on your HD via Win will do the job. Rather simple task. If help is needed, I can walk you through it.

I think you can edit the boot.ini so it initially boots with windows 7, but then will ask you which option you want to run, and you can tell it to run windows 8 on the secondary drive. But, I havent found the directions yet.
