Went for din with girlie's fam (6 of us). Didn't get sat in an empty restaurant for 10 mins, didn't have our orders taken for another 10, drinks took 20, appy took 20, mains took another 20.... we ordered another round of drinks and they just never showed up, but we could SEE them sitting at the bar.

So we asked a random server to bring them :lol: So the girl did... and dumped the beers in my LAP!! Brand new polo and jeans soaked.

At least they gave us a gift card and cut the bill down by 75%... but fuck.

Hell, I don't even blame them for the typical 200% markup on pasta dishes, I'm the dumbass that's looking to be lazy and have somebody else make it for me, so in a way I guess I deserve that ridiculous markup. But when they screw up that bad... man, they're just telling me that they really don't want my business.

Well, that would be the harder way...and they are all free...

The easy way is to use a website proxy. You go to the proxy website, type in the addy of the site you want to visit, and it goes there for you thru the proxy. The two I use when I need them are:

Okay, first you need a list of proxy servers. I just saw that the site I usually use doesn't give them out free anymore, so that sucks, but I found another one: http://spys.ru/en/proxy-by-country/

From there just pick the country you want and click the link then the list comes up of proxies. The you have to go to your control panel and then choose Network and Internet and from that page click Internet Options. An internet property box should pop up.

From there, click on the Connections tab and then click on the LAN Settings button on the bottom:

And then from that view, click the boxy near the bottom for use a proxy server. Then in the field below, you enter the proxy address AND the port address in the appropriate boxes and then click OK.

It may take a few tries to find a proxy that has decent speed or that actually works. It's alot of trial and error unless you want to pay for a premium list of proxy servers.

I think the hosting company was running out of options as to what servers would take them since they were getting DDoS'ed all the time. The first two server locations were in Holland....and now after the last move, we're in Bulgaria :wha:

Yeah, we definitely don't wanna be anywhere that there are overly aggressive law enforcement agencies so that way it will keep us out of their jurisdiction. So basically places like the US, UK, Germany, France, etc are all out of the question.

I'd like to find one that's back in Holland...and there's one we're looking at now that's located in Luxembourg.

Unfortunately, hosting seems to be trial and error, especially when you are trying to keep it out of the major EU nations and the United States. All the countries with the best infrastructure and reliability are also the ones that will close you down in a heartbeat over the smallest thing.

Granted, this isn't a huge site right now and I'm sure we aren't exactly 'on the radar' but all it would take is one or two DMCA complaints and that would change in a hurry. And it wouldn't even matter if the DMCA complaints were valid or not.

No doubt about that. If you put on a smile and show enough empathy, do a good job and explain things well, usually you can win someone over. We're the same at work, if you keep smiling and pleasant and polite no matter what, they really struggle to keep up with the attitute and usually back down, it's just the odd ones that I want to hit with a stick. :lol:

I keep telling myself I will regret it if I start again, I'm not a strong person despite what people think, I do however have a very stubborn streak which has worked against me at times but with this it works in my favour :lol: and it's that that's keeping me going, I'm too stubborn to give in without a fight :lol: I'll set myself a goal and usually go out of my way to make sure I achieve it and the quitting smoking is no different, I've booked myself a 4 day break in May as a pat on the back for quitting, all I need to do now is stick to it.

A woman has suffered 40% burns when petrol ignited as she was transferring it to containers in her kitchen in York, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has said.

It comes two days after Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude told Sky News that people should avoid petrol shortages by putting extra fuel in a jerry can in the garage.

Sky's North of England correspondent Gerard Tubb said: "The woman was apparently decanting fuel in the kitchen of her home.

"She was pouring petrol from one container to another, but we do not know what those containers were and why she was doing it.

"However, somehow the petrol ignited and set fire to her."

It is unclear whether the woman's actions were the response of advice given by the Government.

Tubb said: "When the Government advised people that they should store some petrol in a jerry can, there was immediate criticism from some fire experts saying it could be very dangerous."
