Yeah, I bought it on December 26th 2010. And the warranty only covered parts for a year and labor for 90 days.

It may not be the player, the movie industry likes to put out new anti piracy crap on disks without getting the firmware to the manufacturers in a timely manner. I am having an issue with that movie playing in my WDTV.

That said, I will agree with everyone above about LG, I have a monitor, TV and Bluray from them.

The monitor quit after a couple years, turns out it was still covered under the manufacturers warranty. I emailed LG, they emailed me a shipping label and explicit instructions on how to package it, sent it in, they fixed it and sent it back in less than a week. No charge. Very happy with there customer service. :tup:

Yeah, I was just thinking that these were brand new blurays and the last firmware update to the player was in the beginning of September, so maybe I should wait and see if they're going to release a new firmware update before pulling the trigger on a new bd player purchase. After all, I did mention the titles and where I got them in the email exchange and they said they forwarded the information "to the appropriate department" and asked me to "please be patient".

Went for a quick bite at this Vietnamese place tonight. The place looked cute on the outside and for a moment when we sat down by the window, so we placed our orders. But one the girlie and I looked around, we noticed it was filthy. The tables were propped up with dirty paper, the floors were slimy and tables weren't clean. Worst of all the chop-sticks were all out in metal holders on the table that were caked with old sticky food. I then watched the waitress rub her face and then garnish a dish with her dirty hands.

I just grabbed my jacket and said, fuck this we're out. Walked out thinking girlie was right behind me. Got to the car outside and realized she was at the counter... PAYING :lol: So I stood there for a sec thinking about whether to let her, or make a scene. Totally out of character, I stormed back in and said no, put your money away we're not playing, this place is disgusting. The waitress looked stunned and said "where is dirty?" I said seriously? Look, the tables are propped up with garbage and the utensils are disgusting, you can cancel our order...

My girlfriend was a little upset I didn't just say something came up, we have to leave. I've gritted and payed for too many meals with shitty food and service and it's not right, but being blatantly unhygienic is unforgivable.
