He wants a new guitar amplifier. I have 2 of them. The thing you plug your electric guitar into to make sound. Pedals = stomp boxes. Like a wah-wah pedal. Think one of Jimi Hendrix's solo in All Along The Watchtower. They make tons of pedals for different kinds of audio effects: Overdrive, distortion, digital delay, reverb, equalization, chorus effects, etc etc etc... tons of stuff. I have about 10 stomp boxes that are currently collecting dust. I just rarely plug into anything. I've been playing a ton of acoustic stuff lately. Just going along with my mood so I'm not really using my electric setup right now.

This week sleep has been a challenge for me - was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. I found out by being in the same hotel room as my sis-in-law who happens to be a nurse/receptionist for a heart surgeon. She knew what it was right away.

On Friday I got a month's free trial machine. It's hard to sleep when you have this alien thing on your nose, and what sounds like Darth Vader beside you! But, I'm bearing with it because although I'm tired because I'm getting about 4 hours sleep in the night, I'm so AWAKE for the first time in a long time. It's like I've been living in a fog for the past few years and I didn't even know it.

And they say I was "apnea-ing" about 80 times in an hour! Now, that's down to about 5 which is normal.

Ain't no stoppin' me now!

My father was diagnosed with that years ago Noilly. My Mom used to have to push him while they slept so he'd start breathing again...


He had one the first masks/machines....looked like a jet pilot with an 8 point rig strapped on his face. One night I asked him how the hell he slept with that contraption on his face? He said - Better than he has for over 20 years :thumbsup:

Now he has an upgraded, more fancy version that's not so bulky...even the bong component where he keeps his water is smaller.


He used to smoke and snore and have sleep apnea nightly. He quit smoking over 25 years ago, started using the machine, stopped snoring and gets way more restful sleep at night :tup:

The free trial machine is more sophisticated than my PC and costs $2K, but good news, it's 80% covered by insurance. :cheerlead:

There, that's the new curved shower curtain rod hung and now to go hang the blinds in the office room and hook up the PC so I can put in a new HDD and re-install Windows this coming weekend :)

I took the 2TB out of my new comp to use as an external backup drive, put the FULL 1TB former backup drive in the new comp. Now I'm transferring the entire drive to the 2TB. Then I have at least another 600Gig to move.

Upside, most is being done with an eSATA cable instead of USB2 so it will go a bit faster. Downside is I didn't have a spare cable to just mount both drives inside the case.
