Just got offered a job. I'd be working in a rig building yard in Houston, company truck, home every night, managing the electrical workers and contractors. Pay in the $130k range. I dunno. Gonna have to think about it. I didn't at all enjoy my last "management" type job.

Yea, boat cover. There was a section between the door and the cover that sank down and the bird was trapped upside down in it. Heard the little fker chirping his ass off. So like...we thought up the idea of having "IKEA Repair Finland". Sort of like Apple has an official Apple Repair shit for their iCrap all around the world. Have as big store as the Blue hideous cubes that the stores are and have it arranged the same way. Just that all the shelves have are screws, wooden pegs, tools, spare table tops, chai arms etc. etc. :lol: And you can buy them by the kilo. Like fill up your bag with what you need, weigh that shit, and we charge by the kilo.

The volume buttons on the front panel of the set aren't working right. The increase volume reduces the volume all the way down. The lower volume button doesn't do anything at all. After looking around in the settings for some kind of solution, it turned off on its own.

Everything works via remote, but this bugs me. If it's a genuine problem with the circuitry, it could be a ridiculously expensive fix.

Ok... I cleaned shit up, blew some compressed air into the TV ventilation shafts, and let it sit for a little while. I just plugged the TV back in and the buttons are working fine now. I plugged in the dish lead into the TV and it's still working fine. I'm gonna let it sit for a little while to make sure it doesn't start acting up again, then I'll plug the HDMI cable from the Blu-ray player back into the TV to see if that's the problem.

I have noticed that the light's not working on the surge suppressor anymore, so I need to go get a new one of those before something bad happens there.

my supervisor was just on a houseboating weekend in Shuswap Lake....they have Massive houseboating parties all over the lake.

he recorded a full wrestling match on the beach on his iPhone....they had ropes, a ref, tables, garbage can...the works.

one guy was dressed as the Ultimate Warrior and the other guy was Randy Macho Man Savage...both guys were huge and in shape.

they pounded each other for over 30 minutes, drinking beer, strutting around....one dude actually threw the table at the other guy, they hit each other with the garbage can...it was fuckin hilarious :lol:

Miss Elizabeth was there, Sean Micheals...about 5 other guys dressed as wrestlers. All of them were non-pro and I bet there were 100 people on the beach....looked like a great time

John was 72. I just ran into him like two weeks ago and he looked perfectly fine. He said he was doing great, enjoying retirement and such. He was living with his daughter, while working on his old house around the corner trying to get it in shape to sell it. His wife passed on about 10 years ago, and he didn't want to stay there anymore. His daughter and her children must be devastated. There's a memorial service for him on Saturday.

Anywho... where the hell are my old earring studs? I found one, but I've got like 6 more. I haven't worn my earrings in like 2 years and I can still get earrings in 4 of the holes. All 3 in the left and the back third in the right are still good. I gotta see what I can do about the other front 2 in the right. They seem to be closed, which I'm not happy about. Don't ask me why... I'm calling it my midlife crisis kicking in.

Your reaction time is still off at .08, whether you guys want to believe it or not. They're not passing these laws haphazardly or just trying to make a buck off of people looking to have a good time. There's hard science behind bac levels and your abilities when effected. You can still lose control and hurt yourselves or somebody else, regardless. Do the responsible thing and get a designated, call a cab, or drink at home. Don't drink and drive.

I didn't say reaction time wasn't off at .08. What I was trying to say is that to me, at that point you're not drunk. Just as capable of driving as someone with bad eyes, elderly folks, or even better, someone using a phone or texting while driving.
As far as not drinking and driving, I agree, no one should do it, however, I'm willing to bet that everyone of us who do drink, have at some point or another driven with a BAC over .08. Maybe a couple glasses of wine with dinner, a few beers while watching a game at a pub, etc.
