I hear her voice on a lot of stuff on Canada newscasts...especially on human interest type U.S. news stories the stations pick up. They seem to like her "homespun" and "folky" delivery.

It just makes me think she's dumbing down the news to try to find the funny in stories where basic reporting would be far better.
