CONEJOS, Colo. — A 49-year-old man was arrested Thursday after a DNA test revealed that he impregnated his 16-year-old stepdaughter.
Danny Manzanares was arrested in Alamosa, KKTV reported.
Social Services notified the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office last year that Manzanares was allegedly engaging in “inappropriate behavior” with his stepdaughter. During the investigation, the teenager gave birth.
A paternity test showed 99.99 percent certainty that Manzanares was the father of the infant, KKTV reported.
Manzanares faces charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and aggravated incest.
