THORNDALE, CHESTER COUNTY - Parents are outraged after finding out a first grader brought heroin to school.

The incident happened at a Chester County Elementary School.

Officials say a teacher at Cain Elementary overheard the 7 year old boy telling another student he had heroin with him.

When the teacher confronted him, he confessed he brought it from home and was passing it out.

School officials sent out reverse emergency calls to parents which said baggies with an unknown substance was found.

At least one child took it home with them.

Police arrested the first grader's grandmother.

Police say she is a known drug user and had heroin at home while baby-sitting her grandchildren.

The Chester County District Attorney's investigation is ongoing.
