wo children stabbed in Newport are in a stable condition, police have said.

The seven-year-old boy and a 16-month-old girl were found with knife wounds at Salisbury Close, Shaftesbury, at about 08:00 BST on Wednesday.

They have been treated at the Royal Gwent Hospital, while a woman who also had knife wounds has been discharged and is receiving treatment elsewhere.
