Based on the same comic (Hellblazer DC/Vertigo) as the Keanu Reeves film from 2005.

The film was great.

I agree. I really liked it. I was hoping for a sequel, and word about it would pop up online every once in a while, but I guess they just couldn't get the ball rolling on it.

I know you started laughing after you posted that. With the list of fantastic Canadian actors and comedians that have come from the Great White North... John Candy, William Shatner, Dan Akyroyd, Eugene Levy, Donald Sutherland... etc etc etc

and

... Canoe.

It'll be out of my memory by the time the series starts up on TV. I'll completely forget that I ever downloaded and watched it.

End of October. In the Friday death slot.

Maybe it'll thrive there. Grimm did ok there. They just moved it to Tuesday. If anybody recalls, the X-Files started out in the Friday night death slot and thrived there for 3 seasons + 3 episodes into the 4th before they moved it to Sunday nights. Supernatural was in the fnds for a season or two and it did fine.

The CW has acquired the first season episodes and are now hosting them on the CW Seed.

There's rumbling on the internet that the CW might greenlight a second season after all this time.
