The Aetherius Society – who believe Jesus was an alien – have marked 19 peeks worldwide that are full of alien energy.

They follow George King, a London cabbie who in 1958 was told to climb all 19 by "cosmos intelligence"

Nine of the mountains are in the UK and include Carnedd Llwelyn, a peek in Snowdonia.

Richard Lawrence, group secretary for the sect, told Wales Online: “Carnedd Llewelyn is one of 19 mountains around the world that the Aetherius Society revere as holy.

“On August 23 we are arranging a pilgrimage. There may be dozens of people going up there.”

George King only missed one of the mountains after being told: “Prepare yourself! You are to become the voice of interplanetary parliament.”

The group also believe Buddha, Krishna and Confucius came from outer space, and say all religions started in the cosmos.

When the groups gets to the top of the mountains they pray and raise their hands.

Members have described a feeling of intense energy, like a strong heat or tingling sensation.

Bizarre sect...Wales... immediately thought of Dr. Who

A quick look at their website reveals...

Sunday 27 July – 11am
Commemorative Event for the 50th Anniversary of The Initiation of Earth on Holdstone Down, North Devon

The Dr. Who series is 50 years old... :tinfoil:

Another swipe from their site:

Charging Sessions at the top of the mountain commence at 12 noon. Operation Prayer Power is a Cosmic Mission devised by Dr. King in the early 1970s, in which spiritual power is invoked through prayer and mantra and directed into a specially designed physical container for later release. This pilgrimage will be followed by a social at a nearby venue, yet to be arranged.

I can see the beer ad now "You've just had a hard day chanting and communing with your cosmic diety - now It's Miller Time!" :D
