President Obama no longer has the guts for battle – or at least, that’s what Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei proclaimed on Wednesday.

Khamenei was speaking at an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of the death of his predecessor, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khamenei.

Surrounding Ali Khamenei, 74, were banners stating “America Cannot Do a Damn Thing.”

The speech drew from a speech Obama gave at West Point last week, in which he told the graduating class that in the years since World War II, “some of our most costly mistakes came not from our restraint, but from our willingness to rush into military adventures – without thinking through the consequences.”

Having the best hammer, Obama continued, “does not mean every problem is a nail.”

Khamenei, however, interpreted Obama’s message as a renunciation of “any military actions.”

“They realize that military attacks are as dangerous or even more dangerous for the assaulting country as they are for the country attacked,” the ayatollah said.

The Iranian leader went on to call the U.S. the “Great Satan.”

Khamenei’s comments come in the midst of critics’ cries against Obama for negotiating with Taliban for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who had been held in captivity for five years after going missing in Afghanistan.

On Sunday, Khamenei addressed Parliament. In his speech, he justified Iran’s defiance of international sanctions against Iran’s nuclear program.

“Despite the sanction imposed upon it,” Khamenei stated, “Iran today is launching satellites and sending live organisms into space and is producing nuclear power.”

Iran is currently in the midst of negotiations with world powers – including the U.S., Britain and China – which seek guarantees that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful.

Western powers have protested that what Iran has declared as its civilian nuclear energy program is merely a façade.

The powers want Iran to scale back nuclear activity and to accept tougher U.N. inspections to prove that it can’t quickly build atomic bombs; in return, the powers would call for an end to Iran’s economic sanctions.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

The Iranian leader went on to call the international banking cartel and every government entity they have purchased over the years the “Great Satan.”
