I was standing 10' away from someone that almost got hit by a bolt of lightning.... never before or since have I seen a person move so fast.... it was funny as fuck :lol:

I was in a plane that got "tapped" by lightning as the pilot called it. Then we rapidly climbed above the storm and watched as the lightning touched down on the city below. Cool.

I was above our reservoir looking down and saw lightning hit a tree....I was at least 200 feet above the place it hit....wonder why the lightning didn't hit the trees I was standing under?

a couple of years ago I was stood on the metal fire escape at work when a bolt of lightening hit a gate ten feet away, I have never moved so fast in my life :/

Thanks for the memory jog...was camping and saw lightning hit a tree about 50 feet away from me - which then tumbled onto a power-pole and sent blue sparks everywhere.

I was first in at a family reunion taking place in a provincial park and the rest of the family were stuck behind. They were worried about me because they knew I was ahead of them. But luck was on my side as I'd arrived hours earlier and was just wandering back to the store to buy some goods.

Had I left on my walk 5 minutes earlier, it might have been a different story!
