So you can't legally own a gun in this city, yet if they did away with gun control more people will be able to legally own guns meaning more people will have them because they're allowed, so won't that just mean more shootings ?

If you look at the numbers gun crime is always higher where they ban them. You're also making an assumption that these criminals would be getting legitimate guns, which they dont

Imho, yes, shootings would go up, but only for a short time, then they'd fall closer to average. The serious side of me says this would be because it'd take a bit for the criminal element to understand that their victims might not be helpless any more. The goofy side says because then most of the bangers would be dead. Either way, problems solved. Lol

In all honesty, it's my understanding that the overwhelmingly vast majority of these shooting are drug gang involved. The problem as I see it, is how do you change the culture of these people. Violence (in all forms) is a daily fact of life for them.

Why not send the gangbangers to Iraq and reward them with one year's supply of Kool Aid for each successful ISIS kill? Whoever snags an ISIS commander gets KFC for life. Problem solved.
