For those of you who thought giant deep sea isopods resemble tasty little lobsters, one aquarium in Yokohama City, Japan might give you the chance to find out.
The aquarium is giving 100 visitors the chance to try one of the rarely-seen little critters, wok fried with garlic.
The method of preparation is simple -- the bugs are washed, drained and then deep fried in oil, before being tossed in a hot wok with garlic and shallots.
Sounds good? So many foodies in Japan thought so too that the aquarium was inundated with requests.
As for how they taste, most have remarked that the bugs are not strong smelling, tasting somewhat like prawn, but 'earthier' and slightly metallic.
