Hey Luncarty!

Join us for the celebration! You've heard about people who have electrical appliances? Well buckle your belts, electricity is coming to Luncarty this summer!

Just imagine -no more lighting the kerosine lamps and candlelight, no more cooking on that open fire :)

*only one toaster and blender per household during the 5 year trial period please

When they dropped fiber on my street I was calling verizon daily to get it installed. I had to have been the first in town to get it, my wife was even stopping and hitting up the verizon guys that were pulled over with their trucks trying to get their asses moving

we had the guy for normal cable pull that shit....I took the day off work to switch from one provider to the other...I swear, the guy called us 5 times - Hey, I'm over here now...hey, I'm just down the street where are you again? Hey I'm in your neighborhood I think.....

finally I got pissed and said to him - Dude, stay where you are, I'll come in my own bloody car and pick you up ffs!!! :x

He showed up 5 minutes later

I'd like to have fibre optic, but unlike most people, Comcast has been really good to me and with the 115 mbps down speed I get for the same price they were charging for the 50 mbps service, I can't complain. And coax is the 2nd fastest transmission, only behind fibre. And Comcast is still planning on getting more speed out here. I believe I saw they they will soon be offering either 200 or 250 mbps (I can't remember which).

Im only at 50 mb, I could go higher but 50 seems to be fine with all of us using it at the same time. I find the websites I visit are more the bottleneck then my connection

You know what twists my tits. 80%+ of the US is fiber backbone, but the major ISP's won't run it to households, instead electing to use copper.

That's why DSL is shit....if you have cable, it's coax all the way.

Yeah, there comes a point where it wouldn't matter if you had 10000000 mbps down, if the internet is slow, it really doesn't matter how fast your connection is.

They have been good to you.. But what about that program in Denver rolling out where they will use your router to fund a public wi-fi and you cant opt out?

Took a walk up to the village shop earlier and there was a guy working on the new fibre cabinet so i went over for a chat......... he reckons it'll be live in the next 3 weeks or so! He says it'll probably only support 200 or so houses so i told him exactly where i live and he said i'll definitely get it
