The FBI hopes to identify potential victims of a salesman accused of videotaping himself raping girls.
Matthew Coniglio was arrested April 10 at his Georgia home on a child pornography charge.
FBI Special Agent William Kirkconnell said investigators found 56 8-millimeter tapes showing Coniglio attacking girls who may have been drugged into unconsciousness.
The FBI shared exclusive details of the case with The Associated Press in the hope victims will step forward and can be offered counseling. The AP also uncovered other exclusive details of Coniglio's past and previous encounters with the law.
Authorities' best chance for resolving the unanswered questions vanished April 20, when Coniglio hanged himself in an apparent suicide inside a Georgia jail.
