The Minnesota Twins say Target Field is the first major league ball park to serve beer from a vending machine.

The self-serve beer station debuted Sunday during the game against the New York Yankees. A second station is expected to be added in time for the All-Star Game next week.

To buy a brew from the vending machine, buyers prove their age at a concession stand and purchase a vending card. That card is used at the vending machine where buyers can tap up to 48 ounces every 15 minutes. The machine offers four beers: Bud, Bud Light, Shock Top Lemon Shandy and Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale.

The Star Tribune says that just like the concession stands, the machines stop dispensing beer by the seventh inning.

simple, IMHO, I buy, you fly. In other words, rarely, at least with my gang, does one person buy one beer. A better question is sine there are no SEIU folks serving, is it still going to be $10 a beer?

"There are four beers to choose from, with per-ounce pricing based on the cost charged in face-to-face transactions: Bud and Bud Light (38 cents per ounce), and Shock Top Lemon Shandy and Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale (40 cents per ounce).

“This allows the guests to customize to their tastes,” Spike said, rather than locking drinkers into fixed sizes ranging from 12 to 24 ounces."

Thanks Dee, I didn't see that in the op. So, $4.56 for 12oz of bud. Still expensive, lol

This is excellent news for me. I assume that a machine cannot be sexually harassed or abused from a legal perspective?
