Yeah that’ll work.

A woman arrested for investigation of assault at Cal Anderson Park early Thursday morning told police she didn’t mean to hurt anyone – she was just waving her hands in front of her face.

Two people told police they were walking in the park on Capitol Hill about 2:30 a.m. with a third person when a woman ran up to them and said her friend was hurt and she needed help, according to Seattle police reports.

The group told the woman they didn’t want to get involved and started to walk away when the woman yelled and swore at them. She then shoved a man in the group and punched him in the face, reports say.

Multiple other people came running from nearby and joined the woman in assaulting the alleged victims – even four dogs, one of whom bit one of the victims, they told police.

The victims pointed out the woman to police when they responded to the area. The other assailants were gone before police arrived. The victims said there were five to seven “transients” or “street kids” attacking them.

The woman, when contacted by police, said she didn’t try to assault the victims and that when she gets excited, she “waves her hands in front of her face,” the police report says.

Police arrested the woman and booked her into King County Jail for investigation of assault.

The man bit by one of the dogs told police he would take himself to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
