Douglas County officials say a 19 year old man who died of a gunshot wound last Sunday near 120th and Pacific put a loaded gun to his head and pulled the trigger.
Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB Joseph Marolla and two other people were in a room when Morolla "put a bullet in the gun, spun the cylinder and put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger.
Morolla later died at the hospital. Kleine says one of the two people who witnessed the shooting left with the gun, which was later recovered.
Kleine says 18 year old Erik Valencia has been charged with felony tampering with evidence. His bond has been set at $40-thousand and his preliminary hearing is set for late August.
Kleine says it appears there was drug use involved in this case.
