CHICAGO -

Four people were killed and at least 22 others have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday evening, according to police.

The most recent fatal shooting happened about 9 p.m. Sunday in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side neighborhood.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the neck in the 1100 block of West 112th Place and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said. He died there about an hour later.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the death.

Less than two hours earlier, a man was shot to death in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, according to police.

The 33-year-old was shot in the back in the 4100 block of West Jackson Boulevard and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. The medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

Early Sunday, one man was shot to death and another was wounded on the Near North Side, police said.

About 3:50 a.m., police found Martrell Ross, 32, in an alley in the 800 block of North Orleans Street, authorities said. He had a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was dead at the scene. Ross lived in the 300 block of South Mozart Street.

Another man, 21, was shot in the right foot and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition was stable, police said.

The weekend’s first homicide occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday. Three teens were in the 2400 block of South Washtenaw Avenue when two other males walked up and opened fire, police said.

Ramon Breceda, 16, of the 2700 block of West 23rd Street, was shot in the chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m. Saturday, according to police the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

A 15-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks and an 18-year-old man was shot in the arm, police said. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where their conditions were stable.

All three are documented gang members, police said.

The most recent non-fatal shooting happened Sunday afternoon in the South Chicago neighborhood, where three men were hurt in a drive-by attack.

At 3 p.m. someone in a passing vehicle fired shots at the three as they stood outside in the 8600 block of South Colfax Avenue, police said. A 33-year-old was shot in the right leg, and a 32-year-old was grazed in his side in addition to suffering a gunshot wound to the right arm, police said. The third man, 27, was shot in the leg and arm.

All three were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions were stable Sunday night, police said.

At least 17 other people have been shot across the city since about 6 p.m. Friday.

Additionally, A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death Friday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Orlando Lomax was walking on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West North about 11:30 p.m., when four males walked up and the group got in a fight, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.

During the fight, Lomax was stabbed in the back, authorities said.

Lomax, of the 1500 block of North Karlov Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m., a spokesman for the medical examiner’s office said.

Police said he was gang affiliated.
