State fairs are known for bringing together unlikely allies, like butter sculptures, questionably stable Gravitrons, and two of the original members of Whitesnake. But it's the edible mash-ups that really shine. Case in point: the Wisconsin State Fair's chicken and waffle cone.
The modern marvel of the deep fryer was snapped by Redditor djsumrs. According to the fair's site, it's a Water Street Brewery original composed of Cajun buttermilk-battered fried chicken, bleu cheese coleslaw, Water Street Brewery Oktoberfest beer-candied bacon, a homemade rosemary cornmeal waffle cone, and Water Street Brewery Honey Lager maple syrup. Ironically, djsumrs washed it down with a Lakefront brew, but thankfully there's no wrong way to consume a fried chicken and waffle cone.
