The swedes for canucks are now so pissed Finns beat them in the World Championships, they will make sure they can bring the Stanly Cup to visit Sweden. Gotta give them some trophy to celebrate. And atleast in game two Sedins scored a total of 5 pts. So they are on fiiiiire!

You should root for Boston then because if they win, you know that Tuukka Rask will bring the Cup to Finland

That is true! We have two goalies playing for Sharks aswell..and one of my favorite young attackers, Sean Bergenheim playing for Tampa. He has been doing well in the play-offs too. So we have a good chance to get the Cup for a visit again!

Now we get to rest and heal a bit...Kessler did something to his knee the last game. It wasn't exciting hockey but it's a win so we'll take it!

Canucks are like chameleons...they modify their play style to whomever they're playing. In some ways I think they tried harder when they were against Nashville, but maybe the bruises and wounds are taking their toll.

We'll see.

and why the fuck is there an orca to represent your team? :wtf:

Godfather
06-02-2011, 05:51 AM
Not good but he missed the first chunk of the season and it was fine... he's great with the Sedins but that doesn't make him the 3rd best forward by any means. It was a really strange altercation, who knows what's gunna happen...

Orcas are representative of British Columbia. Vancouver is a coastal city, it's a very green and blue place, lots of native influence in the art (notice it's designed like a totem). At the time that logo was designed, the ownership was called 'the orca bay company.' I like the new vintage logo better than the main one personally but it has grown on me over the years.

Ya it's bullshit. I don't want these playoffs remembered this way. Guys shoving fingers back and forth in mouths.

This shit happens aaaaall the time in minor league hockey... These guys are making themselves look like junior hockey clowns

And if it's a physical series Vancouver tries to play they're going to get destroyed. We're not that kinda team, all about sticking to the original game plan that got us here. But it may be too late. Boston is under some of our player's skin

06-10-2011, 02:03 AM
We dominated the first 2, they dominated the last 2...we're the comeback kids. It's anybody's game.

From here on in, it's gonna be close. Great hockey with epic battles.

No matter which team wins, both will be able to say that they played their asses off, if the Canucks are able to rally back (which they have done time and time again)

Hal-9000
06-10-2011, 02:09 AM
oh we all knew Boston wasn't going to lay down...their division is tough and Boston has some big guys.I'm happy and surprised that Vancouver is tied right now to be honest.

I still hope it goes 7 but the Canucks have to make changes to get there. The 4 - nothing games can't happen anymore.

exactly... dominated would not be the word to use for the first 2 games

I guess I'm comparing them to the way they played with the rest of the teams they beat in the western conference...They seemed to come out of the gate with a fire I hadn't seen in a while. Dominate is a bit too strong a word to be sure.

But, I'm not off the bandwagon yet.

I say, keep Corey Snider in as goalie until he lets one in, then send Luongo in and then the team is energized again. Alain Vigneault is going to have to keep the team positive but home ice will help with the fans, if they continue to cheer about something. Get all the former players who made it to the finals give 'em a pep talk...anything!

Solid bounce-back game. The Canucks aren't going to beat Thomas/Boston with the big score reversals matching what they did to us in games 3 & 4. That's why the cleche has been 'one game at a time' all year long.

Going back to TD Garden is going to be a bitch. Bet this goes 7.

And like I told my bandwagon co-workers today: Anyone who thinks Luongo shouldn't start knows nothing about hockey.

Well, if nothing else, it seems like home ice is the deciding factor in this series. That could bode well for the Canucks, but then again...

We'll see... it's been a long season as a fan  Feel pretty wrapped up in this whole thing. Not sure I can really explain it without sounding ridiculous. But it would make my entire year, more than that even.

As GF's sig says...

Congrats to the Boston Bruins. Thanks to all for the best season of hockey in history.
First in the league. Second in the playoffs. Fuck the bandwagon. Go Canucks Go

Thanks to both teams for being worthy adversaries and keeping me at the edge of my seat.

on a serious note...The Canucks forced game 7 and that was a whole lot better that I expected.

We all know that whether it's 1-0 or 5-0, it all translates to a W....

When Boston won they did it with muscle...shutting out a Stanley cup contender by the margins they racked up is no easy feat.
The Bruins won because they outplayed the Canucks, I'm glad it wasn't decided on a bad call or a shitty shootout competition.

The bumblebees deserve the title.

Hey lance... I read a study that for sports fanatics and athletes.... huge losses and victories like this one can affect testosterone/fertility levels

They tested soccer fans after the world cup. When Spain won, fans testosterone jumped 27% for a few weeks. The Italians who lost dropped 20%

So... your balls are bigger than mine for the summer. Don't go getting any puck-bunnies pregnant :P
