The raunchy ‘sex tape’ which also features Wallace’s love interest Wendolene, takes inspiration from another British classic, the Carry On films, and the results are… interesting.
What were Nick Park and the people at Aardmann Animations thinking?
Complete transparency – they weren’t, because Carry On Wallace & Gromit is a fan made video written and directed by Blake Neale, who by his own (or rather, Wallace’s) admission has ‘too much time on his hands’.

Blake even invented a back story to the clip, claiming it was released in 1997 as a straight to VHS film, and is ‘regarded as the rarest and most sought-after piece of W&G history’.
In reality the graphic designer entered the film into Nick Park’s Creation of the Month competition, however he was so proud of it he jokingly tried to convince people it was a real Aardmann creation.
On the clip’s website (that’s right, he built an official website for it!) he put up a disclaimer reassuring people that his creation is not an official instalment of either the Wallace & Gromit or Carry On franchises.
He adds: ‘Basically if nobody could sue me that would be great.’
So we can all breath a sigh of relief, as Wallace & Gromit’s family friendly fun lives for another day.
