I can't be the only one who has walked up to a drive-thru and tried to order something. Hate to kill your dreams, but it doesn't work. You'll promptly be rejected and likely laughed at.

A pedestrian learned this at an Oklahoma City McDonald's Tuesday as he tried walking up and ordering at the drive-thru, and was refused service for not having a vehicle.

As you can imagine, the next logical procedure would be to steal someone's car, right? Ok, maybe not. But Erick Aguilar did just that. He walked up to a woman's car at the drive-thru, tossed her out Grand Theft Auto-style, sped off and eventually crashed the car (also GTA-style).

He probably figured he'd take the car, roll through the drive-thru this time and access a savory Big Mac.

That night, a McDonald's worker said she heard screams, then saw the carjacking on the drive-thru monitor and called police.

Aguilar was caught by police three miles away from the McDonald's when he wrecked the stolen car. He was arrested on complaints of robbery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempting to elude an officer.

Moral of the story: McDonald's needs more 24-hour dining rooms to prevent crime.

untrue...we walked up to a Bob's (burger and shake place) in -35C weather and ordered milkshakes...they don't have a walk in entrance, only drive-thru

so when the chicks stopped laughing they said sure, we'll get your large milkshakes your freakazoids

i saw this in the flesh , they couldn't use the drive thru due to the truck they were in was to high and the staff wouldn't let the guy walk in so they unloaded a banger car and used that instead

It's a 'drive thru' not a 'walk thru' :hand:

had a drunk or stoned guy walking up one of the Tim Hortons drive thru's one night...he was walking/staggering real slow, in between the building and the cars...

Since it was a little surreal, I handled it with my usual aplomb and joviality

*rolls down window and yells*

HEY FUCKER, GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE DRIVE THRU LANE OR GET HIT MOTHERFUCKER!

hey warbled off elsewhere :)
