A hunter in an undisclosed location in the United States released footage Tuesday of what he believes could be a “Sasquatch” subject “aggravating” his dogs.

Don Young, who hosts a YouTube channel consisting of a few trail camera videos, says he and his wife, Carol, had just arrived home from a “Friday night fish fry” when they heard a ruckus coming from their yard.

“We pulled the truck up close to the pens north side and my wife held a spot light over the pen to see what was causing our dogs such aggravation,” Young said. “There where eyes shining towards us from the adjoining swampland forest just a few yards beyond the dog pens boundary.”

Astounded by the rare sighting, he reportedly ran for his camera inside while his wife kept the area well lit in order to not to lose track of the creature.

“When I returned entering the pen and heading to the far edge of the pen, close to the illuminated eyes, this is what I recorded.”

The 4-minute video shows the alleged pair of shiny, forward facing eyes staring at the camera while Young’s dogs incessantly bark in the background. The eyes are seen intermittently as though the animal was blinking.

Eyeshine can be seen in many mammals, although it is not seen in most primates due to the lack of tapetum lucidum, a layer of tissue present in the eye of many animals and responsible for providing them with a better night vision.

This topic remains highly controversial and has generally sparked heated debate among Bigfoot researchers and enthusiasts.

“It is always difficult to say if something is truly real or a fabricated hoax when it comes to videos or photographs,” says Jody Bergquist,a reader who wrote an entire opinion article covering the subject. “While the later is easier to hoax, the former can still, with great creativity and thought, be there to trick us. The greatest achievement of the human mind is knowledge. Educating oneself on nature is the best way to gain that knowledge. In the case of many Bigfoot, Yowie, Yeti, and various other ape-like creatures in our world, we need to consider what nature has provided to us and all of the great apes of the world. Great apes, including humans, do not have an eyeshine. Eyeshine is the reflection of light back to the viewer when light hits the eyes of an animal at night. Great apes could possibly see in color much like we humans do. Which means that if Bigfoot and his cousins are in the ape family and share DNA with humans he would not have an eye shine. This means when a light hits a Bigfoot he would more then likely raise his hand to shade his eyes till they adjust to the light,” she explained.

In May, the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization, also known as the RMSO, captured similar images on a video while on a night expedition in Cedar Mountain, Utah.

“We figure the eyes were at 8-ft high. The dogs where fine, but three of our outside cats had gone missing. The other four where frightened to a point they would not come down from the old sheds rafters,” Young said.
