NEW ROADS, LA (NBC33) — The former girls’ volleyball coach of False River Academy is now in jail on charges of sexual misconduct with a female student, according to the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Nick Domingue, 27, of Ventress, LA, has been charged with Oral Sexual Battery and Indecent Behavior With Juveniles.
Sheriff Bud Torres says the charges came after detectives interviewed several of the volleyball players Domingue coached.
The school’s principal reported Domingue to the sheriff’s office on October 6, 2014.
Domingue then turned himself in to deputies on October 10, 2014.
Investigators say he also taught at False River Academy and coached the school’s baseball team.
Domingue has been fired from the school, and his bond has not been set.
Torres says the investigation is still ongoing and there could be more charges against Domingue.
