View Full Version : Weather channel founder: AGW science has proven to be invalid
http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/526191/Climate-change-is-a-lie-global-warming-not-real-claims-weather-channel-founder
THE debate about climate change is finished - because it has been categorically proved NOT to exist, one of the world's leading meteorologists has claimed.
John Coleman, who co-founded the Weather Channel, shocked academics by insisting the theory of man-made climate change was no longer scientifically credible.
Instead, what 'little evidence' there is for rising global temperatures points to a 'natural phenomenon' within a developing eco-system.
In an open letter attacking the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, he wrote: "The ocean is not rising significantly.
"The polar ice is increasing, not melting away. Polar Bears are increasing in number.
"Heat waves have actually diminished, not increased. There is not an uptick in the number or strength of storms (in fact storms are diminishing).
"I have studied this topic seriously for years. It has become a political and environment agenda item, but the science is not valid."

I don't intend to get into an argument with a bunch of right wing deniers, here. But I can state one fact. We are losing beach front due to erosion and rising water levels.
I can also show specific examples where this is occurring daily. Whether that event is "man made" is debatable.. But the fact that the water levels are changing in my area is not.

Those things may happen, the earth changes, doesn't mean its global warming when all the evidence contradicts that facts

What evidence? Water levels rising? That doesn't contradict it, unless you deny it.. Like the holocaust or something..

They mention erosion every single time just before rising tides, and never quantify what rising tides are or what they are with respect to. They give some historical average as if the sea has risen forever and it has simply accelerated lately.

Um, Tangier island is sinking, what does anyone expect to see here?

that's also about tangier island

 those are all about the same tiny ass barely above water sinking into the ocean mothafuckin island
there is no evidence that AGW increases storms, in fact the correlation goes more in the opposite direction , as things come off a heated peak is where the storms get worse
sucks when you forget a major aspect of a system in trying to measure it. gonna give you absolutely nonsensical results.

My post was made specifically about my area and my personal observations...
you said I can provide specific examples, and then you gave a single poor one, brotha

Wake up. It's real.. I have a house on the water and have been there for 40 years. It may not be the 50 feet you're looking for, but sea levels are rising.
your house will be fine, barring actual bad weather/storm. the sea has been rising a tiny bit, that has been measured, but its small amounts, and these accelerations they talk about are bullshit and tainted with AGW climate propaganda. they actually measured the sea fell this past year, how's about that one?

The earth is constantly changing, sea levels rise and drop. Ice melts and freezes. The weather warms and cools. Its happened since the beginning of time
