PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- A man who was pulled over and suspected of drunken driving tried to eat his breathalyzer paperwork, state police said.
Kenneth Desormes, 40, of Greenwich, Connecticut, was pulled over around 5:30 a.m. Sunday after police observed him speeding on Interstate 95 in Westchester County, troopers said.
An officer arrested him after suspecting he had been drinking. The officer brought Desormes to the state police barracks, where he was given a breathalyzer test.
While the results were printing, Desormes grabbed the paperwork and tried to eat it, police said. The results said Desormes had a blood alcohol content of 0.13 percent., police said.
Desormes was charged with the misdemeanors driving while intoxicated, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and third-degree criminal tampering.
