I don't think I've ever expressed this online before, but I love gambling, probably a bit too much

I went to Vegas this past weekend though and had a blast, the highlight of which was me winning $1700 during a single two hour stretch of playing craps. I hit a ridiculous bet at 1000-1 odds (the fire bet for any of you who may know about it) which prompted the casino to actually make me fill out a W-2 to collect my winnings. I think all together me and all the people at the table had to have taken over 20k from the casino during that one stretch

Anyone have any awesome gambling stories as well? shoot, or awesome Vegas stories for that matter, although that might be another thread. One that might even be NSFW 8-)

I was at the lobby at the Palace Station casino and my buddy and I walked by this old man who looked a little like Abe Vigoda. He was hard of hearing so all could hear his side of the conversation. He had what looked like a brochure in his hand.

As we passed the old man said into the phone "So, whaddya look like?" :D

I was a nickel tycoon, winning about $100 (which ain't bad considering it was just nickel slots). The highlight of the trip for me was plugging nickels into the slot and chatting to the person beside me -- she was an extra on all the 70's TV shows like Starsky and Hutch, etc etc. Carol...something. She usually played a madame. "I got all my hooker tendencies exorcised by playing them so much!" :) She was also on 80's stuff like Seinfeld. Can't for the life of me think of her name!!! She retired to Vegas and was flattered I recognized her.

My buddy was on a poker machine, bet only a quarter and said "I have the A, K Q, 10 of diamonds and a 4 of spades - what should I do?" I yell "That's nearly a straight flush, discard the 4!" And sure enough, he won $200.

We had steak at a very ritzy restaurant that night!

Last time I was in Vegas, I went to the BJ table about 2 hours before I had to leave. I had 2 $100 chips. When I got up I had $1000 chip, a $500 chip and my (2) $100 chips. Then I got the fuck out of vegas.

I've only been to Vegas once. The airfare and hotel was paid for by my former employer and after partying and gambling for a week I came home with almost the same amount I left with. I consider that a win!

Like Porky said, leaving before you can give your money back is the smartest thing to do, and almost breaking even after a whole week is borderline amazing!

Ok here's mine its a quick summary/overview
Two days before my buddies Doug's wedding with the wealthy Tracy, he travels to his bachelor party in Las Vegas with my self, our buddy Stu and Tracy's unconventional brother Alan Garner. Tracy's father lends us his Mercedez Benz that is his pride and joy to Doug with many recommendations. We rents the best suite in the Caesar's Palace and go to the roof to celebrate. Alan proposes a toast to Doug and we drink his booze. On the next morning, Stu Alan and I have a hangover and we do not recall what we did last night; the room is upside down; Doug is missing; there is a baby in the closet; a tiger in the bedroom; a chicken in the room; Stu has a missing tooth; and Doug is missing. We tries to track down last night to find what happened and sooner we discover that Stu married the stripper Jade and Alan has spiked our shot with "Good Morning, Cinderella" in the beginning of our crazy night. We spent the next 48h hours piecing together the night as we try to find Doug that happens to be on the room of the hotel were we left him.

:haha: Loser!

one summer she was saying it was 41C (one million F) outside and had been that way for 2 weeks.

I remember in the summer of '96, I was there with my wife and we were heading from downtown back to the Stratosphere. There is an old building near downtown that has a clock/temb. board on top of it. It was about 11:45PM and it was 112F.
