Five people were killed and at least 16 more were wounded in shootings across the city over the weekend, authorities said.
The latest fatal shooting happened Sunday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood, police said.
About 5 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the area of 117th Street and Racine Avenue, police said.
Officers found a 30-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to the back, lying on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
Police had no immediate description of how the man might have been killed.
Early Sunday morning, a 27-year-old man died after being shot in the Old Town neighborhood on the Near North Side, said Chicago Police Department spokesman News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
The man was found inside a vehicle about 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West Evergreen Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds, Alfaro said. The car he was in crashed into several parked cars before coming to a stop.
The 27-year-old man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Alfaro said.
A vehicle was seen leaving the scene. Shortly after the incident, police stopped a suspect on the Eisenhower Expressway and took him into custody, police said.
About the same time, three men were shot -- one fatally -- during a party around 3:10 a.m. Sunday in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
The three were at a party in a basement apartment in the 800 block of South Oakley Boulevard when someone fired shots, police said.
A 24-year-old was shot in the face and was later pronounced dead at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said. A 33-year-old man was hit in the chest and the back and was listed in critical condition at Stroger. A 26-year-old man was shot in the torso and the back and was also in critical condition at Stroger.
As of early Monday morning, neither the 24-year-old man or the 30-year-old man who were killed had been identiified.
Saturday evening, a 33-year-old woman was shot in the head while in her SUV on the 3700 block of West Potomac Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.
About 6:50 p.m., the woman was shot in a Chrysler SUV, which following the shooting ended up at Division Street and California Avenue, where it crashed. It remained on scene hours later, with its passenger window shot out.
The 33-year-old was taken to Stroger hospital in critical condition, police said. She was later pronounced dead there at 1:03 a.m., authorities said.
She was later identified as Zoraida Feliciano, 33, of the 3700 block of West Potomac Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The fourth fatal shooting happened at 2:13 p.m. Saturday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, said police spokesman Officer Veejay Zala.
A 22-year-old man was driving in the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue when another vehicle pulled up to his car and someone began shooting, Zala said. The victim lost control of his car and struck several parked cars, police said.
The man, identified as Anthony Jackson of the 3800 block of West Lexington Street according to the Cook County medical examiner's office, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, Zala said. He was a documented gang member, police said. Police are conducting a homicide investigation.

The boy was shot in the 7100 block of South Carpenter Street, Zala said.
The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center, where his condition had stabilized. The boy may have accidentally shot himself, police said.
