A 27-year-old driver crashed a brand new McLaren P1 the day after buying the car, which is worth $1.2 million.
According to reports, the young driver was cruising with a friend near Dallas, Texas, on November 25 when he hit a wet spot on the road and destroyed the vehicle.
While the wet spot caused the car to lose traction, reports do note that it’s likely the driver was excessively speeding, as the McLaren P1 is known for being able to go from zero to 60 in three seconds. The luxury car can also reach speeds well above 200 miles per hour.

Reports say that the 27-year-old driver and his 24-year-old friend were injured in the crash and had to be transferred to a local hospital for treatment.
This is said to be the very first McLaren P1 crash ever reported in America, and with a price tag of $1.2 million, it’s not hard to understand why.
