In states like California, it’s legal for motorcyclists to split lanes of traffic. When done right it saves time and makes roads less congested. When done wrong, though, things can go badly in a heartbeat. Just watch the lane splitting crash video below to see what I mean.
As you can see in the clip that has been viewed over 4. 5 million times, one motorcyclist is recording the biker in front of him lane splitting. The lead rider appears not to be paying attention and – wham! – collides with a car that changes lanes in front of him.
Who’s to blame? Some posters are willing to blame the biker. It appears the car’s driver played a role too by not signalling before the lane change. But to the untrained eye, it looks like the biker was to blame. Reportedly, the biker only suffered a broken wrist after being thrown to the ground.

One question we have is – what about the biker filming the accident? He never stopped. Instead, he barely glances back and leaves the scene. If you believe in karma that biker has an unpleasant accident in his future. And no other bikers will stop to help.
