Same rules as previous years, PM me your list of 15 celebs/famous people (it has to be someone that is well known and is in the news/gossip rags) that you want on your list and we will get the ball rolling. After the lists are finalized I will add them to this first post. And just a quick reminder on the scoring system or for any new players, you start at 100 and then subtract the dead person's age and those are your points. So obviously the younger someone is, the bigger the score. Person with the most points at 11:59 PM MST December 31st, 2015 will be the winner.

I want to give everyone ample time and because of the way the holidays are this year, I would like to have the lists in by the end of the day of January 9th, which is a Friday. Even if you have PM'ed me your list, you can make changes up until that point, after that, each list is final and official. I will not post any list here until they are all final so that way no one can be stealing other people's ideas. I'm hoping for at least as good a turnout as last year, maybe even better! Be creative and let's get it on!

Be creative and let's get it on!

Creative? Hell, I was creative this year! I pick a 25 year old to commit suicide, and a 69 year old to be killed in prison. Being creative got me a grand total of one, and that was only because my sister told me about Casey Kasem's wheels off family situation over his health.

Usually, we all keep track and post a death when we see it in the news. Then I'll go verify, update the spreadsheet, and come back here and post the scores. On occasion, I'll run over to wikipedia and copy and paste names into their search field just to make sure our people are still alive, because we don't always choose people who get front page obituaries.

On June 3, 2013, Kelly announced that he has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a form of cancer, in his upper jaw. He underwent surgery at a Buffalo hospital on June 7.[12] Kelly reported to news outlets shortly after his surgery that the procedure was successful and he was now cancer-free.[16] On March 14, 2014, after a follow-up test at the Erie County Medical Center, it was announced that Kelly's cancer had recurred, and that he would begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment.[17] It was announced on August 20, 2014 that doctors can no longer find evidence of cancer.[18]

On November 1, 2014, Kelly announced he had contracted MRSA within his bones, three months after being declared cancer-free. A few weeks after the announcement, Kelly said he was MRSA-free.

Looks like we may be seeing the first points of the year.

Life goes on until it doesn’t but don’t tell that to the indomitable JERRY LEWIS who’s still “knocking ‘em dead” at 88!

The ailing comedy legend is nearing “the end,” and friends say he’s ready to meet his son Joseph in heaven.

The 88-year-old appeared to bravely be facing his sad, last days, The National ENQUIRER has learned.

Shocking photos obtained by The ENQUIRER show “The Nutty Professor” wheelchair-bound on Jan. 8. He looked extremely pale while in Washington, D.C., before a scheduled comedy show.

Said a source: “Jerry is insisting on performing to the very end. That’s how much of a trouper he is!

“He doesn’t need the money. He’s worth a reported $50 million, but he needs to hear the applause a few final times before he meets his Maker.

“He’s joked, ‘I’ll die on stage – in the middle of a joke.’ But the fact is, it’s a struggle to go on.”

While Jerry is proud of his six sons and daughter, he desperately misses his beloved son Joseph.

“He was rocked to the core when Joseph, who battled drugs, took his life in 2009 at age 45. Not a day goes by when Jerry doesn’t think of him,” the insider divulged.

After his son’s tragic death, a shattered Jerry said: “To this day, I don’t understand it because it’s unfair … I beat myself a thousand times.”

Meanwhile, Jerry has battled prostate cancer and suffered two heart attacks. He has type 1 diabetes and took the steroid prednisone for pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic lung disease.

Jerry also remains in severe spinal pain, a result of years of pratfalls.

Added the source: “Jerry’s accomplished so much! He raised nearly $2.5 billion for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through his annual charities. He was one of a kind.”

1. Fidel Castro (politician)
2. George Bush Senior (politician)
3. Stephen Hawking (Scientist)
4. Jules Bianchi (F1 Driver)
5. Maggie Smith (Actress)
6. Jean Alexander (UK soap actress)

11. Angela Lansbury (Actress)
12. William Shatner (Actor)
13. Sepp Blatter (Cunt)

15. Bernie Ecclestone (F1 owner)

I think I still have managed to score zero points, now young Jules looks like he might propel me up the standings, as there were rumblings of switching off his machine, but they might not do it anytime soon.

How the fuck did you have "England's former chief inspector of schools" on your list?

As part of my research for this year's list, I looked at everybody's lists from last year's competition to see who made it out alive and find out why they were on people's lists in the first place. After reading about him, I figured he was a shoe-in to kick the bucket this year, so there ya go.

I think not. The majority of our lists come from similar techniques by using google or other search engines to find out who other people that play the game have picked in competitions we're not involved in.

Or at least that's how I've picked my people initially. The political and terrorist predictions is (or will be), I think, a natural consequence to current world events.

Report of Raiders legend Ken Stabler's death retracted

A report Thursday afternoon that Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler had died was quickly retracted by the Alabama media outlet that had reported it.

The Tuscaloosa News reported that Stabler had died at the age of 69, but within a few minutes, the site posted a note saying that it while reporting unconfirmed but persistent rumors of Stabler's passing, it had "inadvertently and briefly published an incomplete story that we were preparing in the event that the story was confirmed."

"Unfortunately, other news outlets used social media to share the report," the note continued. "We regret the error and any emotional distress caused to Stabler's family, friends and fans."

Irwin Keyes has died @ age 63.

He was a bit actor in a lot of horror movies. He played Jock in the Don Knotts and Tim Conway flick Private Eyes. I think he was in The House of 1000 Corpses too.

French Formula 1 driver Jules Bianchi has died, nine months after suffering severe head injuries in a crash at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
The 25-year-old had been in a coma since crashing his Marussia car into a recovery vehicle in wet conditions in Suzuka last October.
His family said: "Jules fought right to the very end, as he always did, but today his battle came to an end."
Marussia, now known as Manor, said the team was "devastated".
Bianchi is the first F1 driver to die from injuries sustained in a Grand Prix since Brazilian triple world champion Ayrton Senna was killed at Italy's Imola circuit in 1994.

He was dead from he hit that pickup.
They just refused to believe it, but he brain was basically mushed in the contact, zero chance of recovery.
I'm surprised they left him this long, suppose gives the family time to come to terms, and time to sort the legalities.

My opinion:

Coma = within the rules.

Brain dead prior to the close of the 2015 entries = not allowed.

I do not know the details of his condition to say.

I feel like we established that by the decision made to disallow Jahi McMath.

I guess she's older now seeing as how her parents won't let her go. But still, underage. No kids allowed.

I understand the argument. I'm just not sure how we should approach it. But we're going to have to iron it out for future competitions now that the situation has presented itself.

That's fine. I just remember a discussion about about "she's already dead" but that may have not been related to this. I'm getting old.
