A woman from upstate New York was arrested after she got behind the wheel while drunk on vanilla extract, police said.
Carolyn Kesel was spotted allegedly driving erratically around a Walmart parking lot in Macedon on the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 5, reports WHAM.
The 46-year-old, from Seneca Falls, was stopped by cops.
She reportedly told officers that she'd gotten lost on her way home.
Kesel, who was believed to be drunk, was breathalyzed — and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .26%.
She was three times over the legal limit.
Officers said she'd been drinking vanilla extract, which contained 41% alcohol — similar to the alcohol content of vodka and gin, according to ABC 7.
Kesel was arrested and charged with the felony of driving while intoxicated.
