A homeless man was arrested by Lake County deputies after they say he urinated on books at the public library.
Benjamin Wilson, 24, has been charged with criminal mischief and disorderly intoxication in the Saturday incident at the Tavares Public Library on New Hampshire Avenue.
Deputies said library staff contacted them after seeing Wilson fall out of a chair he was sleeping in, stumble around the library and urinate on a set of books in between the bookshelves.
The books that were damaged were valued at more than $1,000, according to the report.
Wilson was booked into Lake County Jail on $2,500 bond.
