Pornography site Pornhub recently announced development of a new device that allows users to charge their phones by masturbating.
The Wankband, a wristband that is strapped to the user’s arm, generates electricity when it moves up and down and charges devices via a USB port on the band.
“It’s well known how incredibly fast we run out of our natural resources and, what’s worse, how much they pollute in order to create energy,” a promotional clip for the Wankband said. “At Pornhub, we realize that by offering our users millions of hours of adult content, we are part of the problem. That’s why we’re going to show men how they can save the planet while doing what they do best.”
The Wankband can charge a number of devices including phones, computers, cameras and tablets. “Stop jacking off and start jacking on,” the promo video exclaimed.

Twitter users welcomed the unorthodox device with open arms following its unveiling.
“If anybody thinks the #WankBand isn’t anything short of genius is obviously in denial,” one user said. “I can finally fulfill my dreams of becoming a power company! #wankband,” another wrote.
While the device is still in the development stage, Pornhub is currently welcoming submissions for beta testers.
