We've had these magnets in the shop before for various jobs for one of the local universities. They do vary a bit in strength but they are all deceptively strong and could easily crush a hand. One the size of a penny even could cause you some severe pain if you weren't ready for it and someone dropped it in your hand near a metallic surface.
