I was in shock thankfully but I will never forget thinking - I broke my knee, fuck :-s and in the same moment remembered anatomy class and knees don't break because they're essentially a cap held on with ligaments....by the time I was at the hospital I nearly threw up/blacked out with pain when they tried to move me for the Xray...
