An ISIS spokesperson confirmed in a 30-minute long audio message that the terrorist group is specifically targeting the White House, as well as Big Ben in England and the Eiffel Tower in France.
In the audio message, titled “So They Kill And Are Killed,” spokesperson Abu Muhammad al-Adnani listed the cities they “want” and described specific targets in some of those places.
“We want, Allah willing, Paris before Rome and before Al-Andalus [Spain and Portugal], [and] after that we will blacken your life and blow up your White House, Big Ben, and the Eiffel Tower, Allah willing,” al-Adani said, according to The Blaze. “We want Kabul, Karachi, the Caucasus, Qom, Riyadh and Tehran. We want Baghdad, Damascus, Jerusalem, Cairo, Sanaa, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Amman. And Muslims shall return to ruling and leadership everywhere.”
The Blaze reports that The Middle East Research Institute, the group that translated the audio message, described the speech as a morale booster for ISIS fighters.
In addition to mapping out specific targets, al-Adnani acknowledged Boko Haram’s recent pledge of allegiance to ISIS and welcomed them to the extremist cause. Adnani also spoke to Jews and Christians, telling them they either had to convert to Islam or pay the price, saying directly, “We took you by surprise.”
Ultimately, the spokesperson acknowledged recent losses that ISIS has faced but declared that, in the end, they would “prevail.”
