According to reports, Avril’s mic stopped working at the beginning of her performance and she responded to the subsequent boos from the crowd by yelling obscenities. Rays rep Rick Vaughn told TMZ, “The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night’s show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for.”

Allegedly, the obscenities weren’t directed at anyone in particular.

You’d think someone in the planning team would have actually heard of Lavigne and did a little research since the Rays are trying to provide a “family friendly atmosphere.”
