A Russian woman is facing life in prison after stabbing her husband to death because he called her by his ex-wife’s name while the two were having sex.
According to reports, 45-year-old newlywed Svetlana Ilvina was having sex with her 47-year-old husband Anatoly when he mistakenly shouted his ex-wife’s name instead of hers. Svetlana was furious, and the two argued for some time as she refused to accept his apology.
When Anatoly eventually went to sleep, a still outraged Svetlana reportedly grabbed a knife and repeatedly stabbed him in the chest.
“The couple had only been together three months and when the victim called his wife Olga, which is the name of his former wife, she decided she couldn't forgive him,” a police spokesperson said, according to The Daily Mirror.
Svetlana reportedly called the police immediately after killing her husband to turn herself in. She is now facing life behind bars.
