SEATTLE -- Police suspect a man was using meth Saturday night when he decided to break into a University District apartment complex, take off all his clothes and hide in a small storage unit.
The manager of an apartment building in the 4200 block of Brooklyn Avenue NE call police at around 9 p.m. to complain that a stranger had somehow entered the secure building and was hanging out in a storage area.
Police arrived soon after the call and found the man, who by this time was completely naked, inside the storage area. The naked man refused to come out, and officers eventually had to remove him by force. After a brief struggle, police arrested the man.
During the scuffle, police say the man bit an officer's thumb. The officer was wearing gloves at the time and the bite didn't break the skin, according to police.
The man, who has not been identified, was booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary, assault, possession of stolen property and drug possession. Police say he had more than 25 grams of meth on him, though it's unclear where he was keeping it.
