A 15-year-old Vietnamese boy has been arrested, accused of killing his seven-year-old neighbor in order to sell her earrings to pay for his video game addiction.
According to Police Capt. Kha Van Hoi from central Nghe An province, the boy, unnamed due to his age, used rocks to beat the girl in the head. He then fled with her gold earrings.
The girl died of brain injuries four days after the beating incident. Capt. Hoi said that the 15-year-old told authorities he had planned to kill the girl in order to pay for computer games.
