Paul T. Hellyer, a former Cold War era Canadian defense minister, told a group of UFO believers that a “cabal” of world government leaders has covered up proof that aliens exist.
The 91-year-old referenced a “New World Order” and the “cabal” in his keynote speech to a packed house at the University of Calgary Saturday as part of his Disclosure Canada tour, which calls for governments to open up their UFO files.
“Much of the media won’t touch it,” Hellyer told the crowd, CTV News reported.

“So you just have to keep working away at it and we will get a critical mass and one day they will say, ‘Mr. President or Mr. Prime Minister, we want the truth and we want it now because it affects our lives,’” Hellyer said.
Hellyer’s words are alarmist considering he was defense minister from 1963-67 and a member of Parliament over parts of four decades.
He’s been outspoken about aliens among us since accusing the U.S. of planning an intergalactic war in 2005, the same year he asked Canada to hold public hearings on ETs, according to UFO Digest.
Hellyer served as an artillery man during World War II and earned an aeronautical engineering degree from the now-defunct Curtiss-Wright Technical Institute of Aeronautics in California before entering Canadian politics after the war.
Yes, Hellyer claims he’s seen a UFO near Toronto just a few years ago. And he gets regular reports from people who claim they’ve been abducted by aliens. It’s an alien planet if you’re paying attention.
“They’ve been visiting our planet for thousands of years,” Hellyer told Russia Times in 2014.
